Samsung Electronics announces the appointment of the new President of its Italian subsidiary
Louis Kim is the new President of Samsung Electronics Italia. Reporting to him will be the heads of all the different business areas: Nicolò Bellorini, Vice President Head of Business Mobile eXperience, Bruno Marnati, Vice President Head of Audio Video, Daniele Grassi, Vice President Head of Home Appliances Davide Corte, Head of IT and Dario Guido, Vice President of Health & Medical Equipment Division. As President of Samsung Electronics Italia, Louis Kim will also be responsible for all corporate functions supporting the business, including the Corporate Marketing Division, headed by Emanuele De Longhi, the E-commerce Division, headed by Daniela Denise Demarco, and staff functions. The main goal of the President and the Italian team is to further consolidate the company divisions through an integrated approach, maximising synergies between the different product categories.

A choice ‘of experience’
Louis Kim, born in 1971, has almost 30 years of experience at Samsung Electronics. He joined the company in 1996 and has held various positions of increasing responsibility over the years. His first role was in International Business Development at the Korean headquarters in Suwon. He then worked as Corporate Marketing Manager in Samsung’s Canadian subsidiary and had various experiences in Sales Marketing in Korea, with a stint at Samsung Electronics France. His last position, before coming to the top of Samsung’s Italian office, was as President of Samsung Electronics Australia. With a long career in the retail industry, Louis Kim is an expert in Consumer Electronics, Business Development and Marketing. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from Korea University in Seoul and went on to earn an MBA from McGill University in Canada.
