Centro Servizi RAEE, a company founded in 2008 by Andrea Ratti, completes the supply chain from the household appliances home delivery to the collection, treatment and recycling of WEEE, playing a prominent role in the circular economy. The project saw the private equity fund JZ International as a financial sponsor, which acquired the majority of CSR’s capital and provided financial resources as equity in order to conclude a first turnover perimeter of around 25 million euros. CSR, which has been renamed TREEE (Treatment and Recycling of Electric and Electronic Equipment) due to its role of parent company, has acquired several companies operating in the WEEE field: Relight (focused on the collection, treatment and enhancement of WEEE and on the research and development of new recovery technologies), Vallone Logistica and Vallone’s plants at Montalto di Castro and Anagni (companies that offer technologies for the treatment of major domestic appliances, TVs and small appliances) and Fast-East (company specialized in home delivery and installation of white goods, a strategic sector for the circular economy bacause it can intercept a third of WEEE present on the market thanks to the mechanism of 1:1). After this first phase, Andrea Ratti and the JZ International fund intend to continue with further acquisitions to cover the entire Italian market and achieve a consolidated turnover of more than 50 million euros in the medium term, and then they intend to proceed with other acquisitions in the EU countries and in the United States. “TREEE, with over 70,000 tonnes of WEEE managed, becomes (for consolidated turnover and territorial positioning of the plants) the first Italian interlocutor for the main players in the sector of household appliances and electronic products. They shall benefit from the typical security standards of a medium/large-sized enterprise”, said Andrea Ratti.
