Since its foundation, P.G.A. (Sabaf Group) represents Made in Italy in the world for the design, development, industrialisation and production of electronic boards for household appliances. In addition, the company works on the constant innovation of electronic solutions dedicated to lighting. Besides, thanks to its proprietary hardware and software electronic solutions based on wireless protocols, P.G.A. makes it possible to interconnect the extractor hood appliance with other appliances in the home equipped with wireless communication interfaces.

Towards new markets

Thanks to its careful policy of investment in R&D, product innovation and customer support, P.G.A. is ready to intercept and even anticipate the trends that are emerging in the range hood market. The company is playing its game to spread the values of sustainability and automation in this field, while at the same time opening it up to the scenarios of artificial intelligence.

«P.G.A. – CEO Paolo Cennimo says – since 2004, thanks to its innovative spirit, which has always distinguished it, has allowed its customers to present a system connected between an extractor hood and an electric/induction hob, using the technologies available at the time, and then evolving and extending its functions, thanks to the innovations available today. To date, we are able to integrate this system with a series of additional sensors, such as air quality, temperature and humidity, and CO2 sensors, capable of fully automating its operation, for managing and cleaning the air in the kitchen environment. In addition, new sensors are being developed that are increasingly aimed at fully automatic management of the entire system, controlled by artificial intelligence».

Next developments and future scenarios

In this regard, P.G.A. is already sketching out the next developments and future scenarios related to the Hob²Hood. Here, too, the company promises to make a difference by virtue of its established and historical market experience.

«The IoT system, proposed by P.G.A., provides the flexibility and possibility to connect several existing systems and clouds and is able to integrate them into a single platform and extend them to the Group’s companies. The experience gained over the past has led P.G.A. to have a wide variety of interfaces with the different known technologies, capacitive, inductive, optical and TFT full touch, to offer the market, such as a wide range of intelligent sensors that can interact with each other, such as on the hob-top, to meet the needs of customers – Cennimo points out –. The company’s ability to innovate and the search for new sensors and solutions allow us to harness artificial intelligence in the development of an increasingly complex and connected system, capable of analysing, managing and optimising environmental impact».

Ecological transition and digitalisation

Marrying together the values of ecological transition and advanced digitalisation, P.G.A. is ready to play a leading role in the scenario of Society 5.0. Hence the aim of identifying market sectors that are still unexplored today. «In conclusion – says Paolo Cennimo – P.G.A.’s activity, which looks to the long term, has also focused on opening up new markets, improving production processes and introducing new technologies. All these solutions will be applied also, and in particular, to the Group’s induction project, for which we are participating in the engineering and industrialisation of the generators and their user interfaces, produced in P.G.A., in the sign of Made in Italy».
