New openings abroad for two Italian brands. Elica and Bertazzoni, historic kitchen appliance companies, are in fact reinforcing their position in Europe and the Arabian Peninsula respectively. A mix of design and advanced technology is the strong point of the two manufacturers in order to increase the relevance in the foreign markets.
Elica opened its first branch in the Netherlands
Elica continues its growth strategy with the opening of its first branch in Haren (province of Groningen), in the Netherlands. The new branch, operating under the direct control of the Italian headquarters, was born with the acquisition of aXiair, a Dutch distributor of extraction systems with over 20 years of experience in the sector.
“We are rapidly advancing in Europe – Francesco Casoli, Chairman of the Italian multinational, explains – offering markets a comprehensive cooking range and a business approach founded on proximity and trust: we recently launched our first showroom in Germany, and now we’re strengthening our presence in the Netherlands by replicating this efficient and flexible expansion model, designed to adapt to the challenges of a dynamic landscape and lead the evolution of the sector, while always listening to the real needs of our customers and partners”.
Elica, which has just completed a radical rebranding, aims to consolidate its position in the world of cooking, with an offer that includes hobs, ovens and wine coolers, as well as a collection of hoods and extraction systems. The products combine sophisticated design and cutting-edge functions: in particular, Lhov is an All-In-One solution that integrates oven, hob and hood in a single appliance. In light of the company’s strategies, the Netherlands area is a market with growth opportunities.
“The Netherlands – says Luca Barboni, Managing Director of the Cooking Division – is the second-largest market in Europe for extractor hobs; having our own organisation will allow us to be closer to our customers and support them in their business growth”. “aXiar – adds Group CEO Giulio Cocci – marks another step in our ongoing transformation and in the direct management of markets where we see huge potential for development. It’s not the first, and it won’t be the last”.
Bertazzoni inaugurated its new showroom in Kuwait
Bertazzoni, a company that has been specializing in the production of Made in Italy kitchen appliances since 1882, has opened a new showroom in Kuwait. The exhibition area is located in the heart of Kuwait City, in the district that symbolizes design, surrounded by the most prestigious furniture stores. With this opening, the company continues its growth in the Middle East, thanks to a long-lasting collaboration with its Kuwaiti partner. This strengthens the brand’s presence in this market: all product categories of the Bertazzoni suite are now also on display in Kuwait.
“The inauguration of the new showroom – comments Paolo Bertazzoni, CEO and President of the brand – is a significant milestone for us. This space demonstrates the solidity of our international collaborations and our ability to adapt to the needs of dynamic and constantly evolving markets”. The Kuwaiti showroom follows the recent inauguration of other exhibition spaces in Stockholm and Vietnam, and is part of the company’s international expansion strategy, which aims to promote the Italian excellence worldwide, adapting to the specific characteristics of the different markets.
