In addition to power, the issue for the household appliance motor is also the capability of satisfying with flexibility the various use requirements and of integrating itself actively with state-of-the-art digital and electronic technologies. A growing trend that characterizes the various appliance typologies, from the world of fabrics washing and drying to kitchen hoods, etc.
Green and smart for the dryer
The electric motor innovation, at Haier, goes hand in hand with the evolution of product performances, starting from those connected with ecoefficiency and sustainability. Particularly delicate aspects in the case of domestic dryers, especially considering the new Energy Label. Due to the motor performance in directly interacting with the electronic part, the machine becomes much smarter. And it is prearranged to understand when the garments inside the drum are dry».
Haier X Series 11 dryer is equipped with Dual Engine Twin Motor and with triple inverter technology. The combination results in the Ultra Reverse Drum technology. This prevents the twisting of garments through the bidirectional motion of equal duration and the constant air input into the drum.
«The great novelty in this machine is the presence of the dual motor. In the traditional Reverse Drum function a single motor performs the rotations in both directions, interspersed with the airflow. Haier instead is implementing the double motor technology. Pratically one motor carries out the drum rotation and the other the management of the airflow. This determines outstanding advantages, concerning both the energy saving with the shorter duration of the drying cycle – keeping performances unchanged – and the possibility of using the dryer also for the treatment of the most delicate fabrics, such as cashmere, without risking of ruining them. Potentialities that can be reached through dedicated programmes that consumers can set up and directly manage from the smartphone, connecting the household appliance with the hOn app, in addition to five power levels that grant the right degree of drying».
High-efficiency silence
The amelioration of kitchen hoods’ operation performances, by Falmec, is strictly linked with the innovation of the electric motor. As proven by Monolith, Shelf and Air Wall models, together with Brera, Quantum Pro and Zero for Cooking System. In these products the new motor is also installed in the filtering versions without ducting.
«State-of-the-art Falmec hoods stand out, in some models, for a particular Brushless electric motor. This, unlike conventional asynchronous 3-4 speed motors, can be piloted with 10 levels of steps. In this way, users can select the most efficacious speed according to situations», they explain at Falmec Technical Department.
The Brushless motor, controlled in voltage and frequency, allows reaching very high efficiency levels compared to standard asynchronous motors. «There are advantages also in terms of lower noise. Brushless or electronic motors don’t make the usual magnetic noise that can be heard in asynchronous motors at low speeds. The power of Brushless motors installed by Falmec is generally equal to 500/600, 800 m3/h». The positive effects on the appliance operation are scored in the sustainability and in energy consumptions, too.
