The Sabaf Group’s 2025 has started on a positive note. On the strength of its international presence, also in the first months of the year the global player is confirming its readiness to promptly seize the business opportunities that the market offers.

«The opening of the year is boding well», confirms Pietro Iotti, Ceo and General Manager of Sabaf Group. «We are seeing an overall positive double-digit order intake, thanks to Sabaf’s global presence. There are some unknowns about the actual increase in personnel and energy costs. In summary, for 2025, good sales volumes seem to be confirmed, with considerable new project activity in the pipeline».

At the same time, the Sabaf Group is engaged on several technological fronts, thanks to its versatile presence in all areas of cooking. A strategy that enables it to meet current customer needs. «From cooking technologies, we are asked for continuous innovation, along with customisations both technological – I am thinking of additional features for induction coking -, and aesthetic for each of the cooking types. Remember that the market is basically divided into 1/3 gas cooking, 1/3 induction cooking, 1/3 electric-radiant. I recall that induction is almost exclusively present in Europe, while in the rest of the world, particularly in emerging countries, we are seeing an increase in demand for gas cooking».

Positive balances

Going into more detail on the individual markets, the Sabaf Group today represents a historical symbol of gas cooking. Nevertheless, the company has never given up the chance to surprise the market once again on this front. «Gas cooking, considered by some to be a traditional technology, is in fact experiencing increasing demand almost everywhere in the world, with the exception of Europe, where demand seems to be stable», Pietro Iotti continues. «The pipeline of new gas cooking projects is very promising, we have over 20 projects in development for the next two years, many of them dedicated to individual customers, who are looking for customised differentiation».

On the traditional electric side, on the other hand, the novelties on the horizon mainly concern user interfaces, with the Sabaf Group’s commitment to respond nimbly to specific market requirements. «I would say that this sector does not promise any major innovations, except for aesthetic improvements on the user interfaces, which are once again requested by customers in order to differentiate the product».

The induction technology

About three years after entering the industry, it is time for the Sabaf Group to take stock of its business action in the induction hob components market. «Here our balance sheet is positive. One of the world’s leading manufacturers started last year with very significant volumes in the mid-to-high end of the induction market; a market that has been impacted by the general decline in demand in the European market over the past 30 months.

Sabaf has developed and made available a wide range of components for induction hobs in the mid-to-high end of the market and has started actively supplying several customers during 2024. Initial feedback is positive, and we believe that 2025 could be the year of greatest growth compared to previous years, also in view of the fact that we are able to provide customised solutions to specific customer requirements, allowing them to differentiate themselves with dedicated products».
