Sabaf wins the Best Managed Companies Award for the sixth time in a row

For the sixth time in a row, the Sabaf Group has won an important award that recognises its right strategic, management and governance decisions. It received the Best Managed Companies Award from Deloitte Private. This award places the Sabaf Group among the Italian excellences in terms of doing business.

An independent jury, made up of experts from the Italian academic and institutional world, selected the 67 Best Managed Companies of the 2024 edition. The jury considered qualitative and quantitative parameters. These include: skills and strategy; innovation; corporate culture and commitment; governance and performance measure; sustainability; supply chain; internationalisation.

Results confirm the good management

Sabaf Group’s positive performance confirms the good management of the company. The strong improvement in the economic results continued also in the second quarter of the year. In a market that is still struggling to recover from the lows of 2023, Sabaf performed very well. It recorded normalised sales of €74.1 million, up by 30.5% compared to the second quarter of 2023 (+18.2% on a like-for-like basis). Normalised EBITDA was €12.4 million (16.7% of turnover), up by 46.4% compared to the figure of €8.5 million (14.9%) in the second quarter of 2023. The return to excellent profitability levels is a direct consequence of the significant recovery in business volumes and the adequate use of production capacity at the main plants. Normalised EBIT was €7.7 million (10.4%), up 81.2% compared to €4.2 million in the second quarter of 2023 (7.5%). Normalised net profit for the period was €5.4 million (€1.8 million in the second quarter of 2023).

As regards to the results of the first semester, in the first half of 2024 the Sabaf Group achieved normalised sales revenue of €143.1 million, up 24.5% compared to €114.9 million in the first half of 2023 (+12.6% on a like-for-like basis). EBITDA (normalised) was €22.9 million (16% of sales), up by 47.1% compared to €15.6 million (13.6%) in the first half of 2023. Normalised EBIT was €13.5 million (9.4%), up 89.6% compared to €7.1 million (6.2%) in the first half of 2023. Net profit (normalised) for the period was €10.1 million (€3.2 million in the first half of 2023).
