Spdei, the French professional trade union of electronic component distributors, has recently communicated its preliminary balance sheets for the French market in 2016. Overall, the component consumption has grown by 3.3% compared to 2015, with a global value of about 11 billion dollars. However, the growth is smaller for semiconductors, which score a rise by just 1.4%, while passive and electromechanical achieve positive variations, respectively by 6.0% and by 5.7%.
